Did you know that in a recent survey I conducted of over 15,000 card makers the #1 struggle identified was “a lack of creativity”?
This absolutely floored me.
Then I remembered my own creative struggles when I first left the world of science and academia, and stepped into the world of paper crafting and art 13 years ago.
It wasn’t until I fully embraced this ONE profound truth that I was able to finally begin breaking through my creative barriers.
My name is Andrea Walford and I am an avid card maker, paper crafter, mixed media artist, writer and entrepreneur.
I have spent the last 12 years teaching thousands of card makers and aspiring mixed media artists how to discover and develop their own creativity, as well as how to tap into that creativity to grow and develop a creative business and life.
Here on the Sunny Stampin’ Blog, my teaching is centered around a specific company’s products – Stampin’ Up!.
My first introduction into the world of arts and crafts was with Stampin’ Up!, as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator (from 2006 – 2011). During my time with Stampin’ Up! I achieved Founder’s Circle as one of the top 15 Demonstrators in Canada and earned a number of the company incentive trips.
It was during my time as a demonstrator that I began teaching Stampin’ Up!-loving customers around the world through my tutorials and online classes. This eventually evolved into a coaching business where I also helped other Stampin’ Up! demonstrators build successful businesses of their own through my former company Demo to Demo (no longer in existence as I am no longer a Demonstrator).
By the time I left Stampin’ Up! I had had the privilege of teaching and inspiring thousands of crafters and demonstrators around the world.
I left Stampin’ Up! in order to expand into other areas: general paper crafting, mixed media art, writing and coaching creative business owners.
Despite the new roads I have been travelling, I have never lost my love of Stampin’ Up! and Stampin’ Up! products. I am still dedicated to helping my SU-loving followers break through their creative barriers, learn innovative ways to use their supplies, and make the most of the supplies they already own.
I share my life with my husband Todd, 5 children (6, 8, 12, 15 and 16), my 94 year old Grandpa, and our dog Ginger. Irene joined the family as our full-time nanny 6 years ago, making it possible for me to focus on building my online business. When I’m not working, I enjoy date nights with my husband, family movie nights at home with our kids, reading, and travelling. I also have an avid interest in fitness – specifically weight training, biking and Muay Thai (Kickboxing) – and have never lost the passion for nutrition and healthy eating that I developed when I was a Registered Dietitian.
I look forward to serving you!
