It’s been a long time coming, but I’m thrilled to announce that the Sunny Stampin’ Blog is back. For those of you that have been following me since my days as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, you may remember the original Sunny Stampin’ Blog which was hosted at www.andreawalford.com
Now unfortunately that blog is long gone. My site was hacked (at that time, I unfortunately didn’t know how to protect my sites, like I do now) and I ended up losing all my content. Well, I suppose that’s not strictly true – I do have a backup – but at this point in time, it’s pretty messed up, and I still haven’t figured out how to “clean it up” and restore it. So in essence, until I can figure that out, I’m essentially starting from scratch.
Now as you may know, at this point in time, I own a few different websites:
My main site – which is currently my primary online business is Paper Crafter’s Library. It includes both a blog and a member site. The free PCL blog offers video tutorials, artist/designer spotlights, a trend report and giveaways sponsored by our feature companies.
The PCL member area is a video-tutorial-based membership website that was created in order to provide an in-depth and easy-to-navigate learning solution for paper crafters of all levels. Athough our primary focus is on stamping and card making projects and techniques, our library also includes videos on scrapbooking, creating 3D items, altered art and mixed media. Our aim at Paper Crafter’s Library is to teach you how to use and make the most of your products. We use products form all sorts of different manufacturers. Launched in January 2011, we now have over 2000 videos in our library and we are the largest and most comprehensive library of paper crafting videos tutorials on the internet.
I also own a website called Art of Simple – Making Art Approachable at www.andreawalforddesigns.com. I established that website as a place to share my art journaling and mixed media creations. It offers free monthly video tutorials.
So you may be wondering – why I am launching this site and what you can expect here.
Well, one of the things that I discovered in my days as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is that many Stampin’ Up! loving customers ONLY want project ideas using Stampin’ Up! products. And of course I still have many Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who still use the Stampin’ Up! ideas I share within Paper Crafter’s Library for their own Stampin’ Up! businesses. Now because Paper Crafter’s Library is intended to spotlight products from every corner of the paper crafting industry, I cannot, for the sake of my members be focusing too much on any one company or product line.
Which is why I thought that the best solution would be to put all my Stampin’ Up! creations in one spot – here on the Sunny Stampin’ Blog. That way I can freely share with those of you that want to see more Stampin’ Up!, without overloading those that don’t.
So what can you expect here?
My aim is to post about once a week. (so 4 times a month). Two of those posts will be “Make-over” posts – where I find a card from within the blogosphere and show you how to make it over using Stampin’ Up! products. These will be strictly “show and tell” posts. I will show you the original photo, I will then show you a photo of my “made-over” project and share with you a description of what I did. I will also be posting a monthly give-away of new and gently-used Stampin’ Up! products – most will be products that have been retired, some may be new. My fourth post might be one of any number of things – maybe a tip, a technique or even a video tutorial of a project.
I will be offering two Creative Inspiration Classes for sale each month. These classes will retail for $12.95 US each. Each class will include 4 projects, each with a video tutorial and PDF handout. The projects will be centered around a particular stamp set or product. The projects will be simple-intermediate level stamping, and will typically include one or more techniques. I will also be offering a Sunny Stampin’ Membership – this membership will be $14.95 US a month – and it will include BOTH monthly Creative Inspiration Classes, as well as a few product/tool/technique videos which released each month only for members. More information about signing up will be coming soon. There will also be a question and answer forum as well as a gallery where you can share your work.
I will have a free e-newsletter (you can sign up from the right hand side bar). As a newsletter subscriber you will receive 2 newsletters a month. There will be one free Stampin’ Up! video tutorial each month. You will also receive a $2 off coupon for each Creative Inspiration Class (2 will be released a month) if you choose to buy them a-la-carte. You’ll also be kept posted on any other news.
So, that gives you an overview of what I am planning for this site. Don’t forget – make sure you sign up for the newsletter so that you don’t miss a thing!
